About the Job
Purpose of Position:
Our client, a worldwide manufacturer of chemicals is seeking a Cryogenic System Maintenance Technician. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and service of company Cryogenic Product Supply Equipment Located at Customer Sites. This role requires regular extensive travel within the region surrounding Upstate NY and PA. This role will handle about 200 PM's, over 1,000 hours of maintenance calls and the rest made up of administrative tasks as well as travel to the next engagement.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Regularly maintain gas delivery systems that include storage tanks, vaporizers, control panels, telemetry systems, etc. for products to include N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium systems in the assigned coverage area
- Primary mechanical skills include piping/plumbing work on cryogenic systems, troubleshooting of valves and regulators, brazing, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Training will be provided on the specific safe handling of cryogenic systems.
- Assist as required on customer station tank installations and removals
- Maintain mobile customer station equipment
- Perform Corrective Maintenance service calls as needed to ensure customer installations are kept running effectively
- Be the face of the company with our customers, providing key customer technical support throughout the life of a Bulk installation contract, including discussing with the customer areas where company can help them increase the efficiency of their processes
- Act as a technical resource accompanying the sales organization on customer calls
- Manage subcontractors who provide additional services on site, such as pump repair, tank painting, and snow removal
- Provide revenue generating services on site as needed and directed by Sales, through CES Central Support
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and goals
- Manage personal storeroom of inventory, approximately $50K-$150K in rotating parts
- Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient in the customer service environment, including the ability to work alone at site as the main technical resource for company and our Customers
- Perform call-out maintenance as required, including evening and weekend coverage occasionally, with potential for 5-10% overnight stays away from home in larger geographic coverage areas
- Complete all Virtual and In-Person Training as assigned
- Continuous demonstration of superior achievement through PMP performance rating
- Documented competency on current training profile content
- Tracks time and materials on work orders via Prometheus and SAP
- Adheres to Drivecam/Smith System driving requirements
Requirements:
- High school degree
- At least two years of post-graduation technical classes or work preferred
- Minimum 2 years of industrial experience or equivalent preferred
