Pay Rate: Local Rate: $65/hr On W2 (Without Benefits)
Travel: $40/hr on W2 + $1162(Weekly non taxable stipend) =Weekly Gross: $2602
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist (CT-Tech) to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging equipment, patient care, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- CT Imaging: Perform high-quality CT scans of various body parts as ordered by the physician, ensuring images are clear and accurate for diagnosis.
- Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Follow protocols for the safe operation of CT equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate CT imaging equipment and ensure it is functioning properly. Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Image Quality Assurance: Review images for clarity, density, and appropriate positioning before submitting them for interpretation by a radiologist.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information, type of scan, and any other relevant details.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in CT technology and radiologic techniques through continuing education and training.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies that may occur during scanning procedures, providing basic life support if necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R).
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or must be obtained within [insert time frame] of hire.
- State-specific licensure if applicable.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in the use of CT imaging equipment and related technology.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic techniques.
