Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Level I Trauma and Stroke Center in Lansing, MI, to find a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. Responsibilities:
- CT Imaging: Perform CT scans on a variety of patients, including inpatient, emergency room, and outpatient cases, according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer contrast media as needed, following hospital policies and safety guidelines.
- Image Quality: Optimize image quality through proper technique selection and utilization of advanced imaging technology.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other team members to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely treatment planning.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- Shift: Alternating between 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts).
- Weekends: 2-3 weekends per month.
- No On-Call: Enjoy a predictable schedule without on-call requirements.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
- CT certification is required.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Experience in inpatient, emergency room, and Level I trauma settings.
- Proficiency in administering contrast media and performing IV starts.
- Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of patient age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Additional Information:
- Floating: The position will rotate between the hospital and the outpatient center, with most of the work at the outpatient center.
- No Locals Accepted: Travelers within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
- Pending State License: Not accepted.
- RTO: Must be submitted at the time of profile.
