About the Job
Our client, a 160-bed acute care community hospital located in the Derby, CT is seeking a CT Tech (Direct-Hire).
Position Type: Full-Time/Perm
Location: Derby, CT
Schedule: Mon–Fri 11:00pm-07:30am
Job Summary:
• Performs CT scan examinations on patients, coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Responsible for handling all aspects of patient care associated with the diagnostic function.
• Prepares room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed.
• Prepares patient for procedure.
• Follows prescribed techniques in performing CT procedures
• Performs all necessary paperwork inherent in the position; responsive to all safety issues/concerns and assists with the general operations of the department.
• Demonstrates high-quality work standards, complies with Hospital policies/requirements of employment
• Maintains responsibility for attendance/reliability to ensure that the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Conducting IV contrast experience preferred, working closely with ED
• CT GE Machine
Requirements:
• Registered AART;
• State of CT license and ARRT (CT) registration required.
• Graduate of CT State approved Radiology program mandatory.
• A.S. degree required.
• B.S. degree preferred.
• CPR certification required.
