POSITION SUMMARY 
$20,000.00 Sign Bonus (Two year agreement)
CT Technologists utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical condition. A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare, and operate the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Staff in this position effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, managers, and other health team members while maintaining established professional standards. Also participates in performance improvement activities and performs other imaging tasks or duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Performs diagnostic CT imaging to include biopsy and localization procedures utilizing standardized techniques obtaining optimal imaging consistency. Also performs point of care lab testing using ISTAT. Performs daily startup procedures and calibration checks on CT units. Always utilizes radiation protection. Patient safety and dignity are maintained always. Continuous monitoring of requests for correct orders. Images are properly labeled, documented in the RIS, and submitted to PACS for dictation in a timely manner. Proper preparation is done on all patients. This will include education, history, and informed consent if indicated. Information is properly documented. All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 
- Two years experience as a radiology technologist. Previous experience in CT preferred
- Graduation from AMA approved school of radiology technology.
- ARRT, Louisiana License,
- Advanced CT Certification is preferred; if not, then required within 18 months of hire.
- BLS Healthcare Provider Status is required within 30 days of hire date
