Job Description:
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
This position requires expertise in operating CT equipment, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain CT equipment
* Cover CT/ED/ portables and x-ray areas and perform both CT and Xray scans.
* Monitor patients' conditions and ensure patient safety during exams
* Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures
* Administer contrast agents or medications as needed and monitor for any adverse reactions.
* Identify anatomical structures and ensure images cover the required areas.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including details of procedures performed and contrast agents used.
* Input data into the radiology information system (RIS) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
* Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to discuss findings and provide high-quality patient care.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding procedures and post-scan instructions.
Qualifications:
* Familiarity with nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology
* Experience in an urgent care setting is a plus

* Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for extended periods.
* Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform technical tasks.
Education:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
* ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
* Maintains continuing education credits per ARRT requirements.
