Position Overview

As a CT Technologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality imaging services while ensuring the comfort and safety of each patient. You will perform CT scans and related imaging procedures, following industry protocols and ensuring accurate, timely results. New graduates and experienced technologists are encouraged to apply, and cross-training opportunities are available for X-ray technologists looking to expand their expertise in CT imaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols, ensuring high-quality imaging.
• Assess patient conditions and adjust techniques as needed to ensure accurate results.
• Operate CT equipment and utilize proper positioning to capture optimal images.
• Educate and comfort patients, explaining procedures and alleviating concerns.
• Follow all radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
• Review images and make adjustments as necessary to maintain image quality.
• Document procedures accurately and send images to the PACS system for radiologist review.
• Ensure that all imaging equipment is functioning properly and report any issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Certification in Radiography
• Active Illinois Emergency Management Department of Nuclear Safety license
• CT Certification required within one year of hire (ARRT Post Primary CT)
• CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
