Title: CT Technologist I
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $75 to $80/hr
Shift : There are three options for shifts for this role and you would choose the best option shift for themselves, the shift options are below:
" First option: Sunday 7a-7:30p (would assume Sunday schedule after 4-6 weeks of training) Monday 7a-7:30p Thursday or Friday 7a-7:30p
" Second option: Fri, Sat and Sunday 7a-7p
" Third Option: Sat, Sun and Monday 7a-7p
Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
" Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
" Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
" Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
" Document all related data.
" Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Skills:
Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organizational skills
Education:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). Required.
Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience is required essential, pediatric experience required, EPIC experience required, and Siemens experience required
Other Responsibilities
" Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
" Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
" Resolve and escalate complex issues.
" Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
" Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
" Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
" Other shifts as assigned
" All other duties as assigned
