About the Job
The CT Technologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging services to patients at our new clinic in New York City. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your skill set by cross-training in additional imaging modalities, such as DEXA, while playing a key role in providing exceptional patient care.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Clearly and professionally explain the procedure, medications, or contrast media to patients, including their purpose and potential biological effects, to ensure patients are well-informed and understand the process
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure they’re usable
- Accurately document patient information and procedure details in the electronic medical record system
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
- Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
- Perform all other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Proven experience as a CT Technologist, with a strong understanding of CT imaging principles and protocols
- Deep familiarity with CT scan equipment (Canon preferred)
- Active ARRT certification
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, biology and chemistry and how to administer IVs
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CT scan equipment performance
- Observational skills to notice any problems with images
- Strong oral communications skills to field patients’ questions and collaborate with other members of the care team
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly supply area
- Mathematics skills to manage contrast administration and maintain inventory
- Computer proficiency to operate CT scan equipment, use G-suite and update medical records using health information systems software
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
