Job Description

Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking for a dedicated and skilled CT - X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team in Anacortes, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Imaging Services:& Perform computed tomography (CT) scans and x-ray imaging for trauma, stroke, outpatient, inpatient, and emergency room patients.

Patient Care:& Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain high-quality images.

Technical Expertise:& Operate Siemens CT and x-ray equipment proficiently, ensuring images are captured accurately for diagnostic purposes.

Collaboration:& Work closely with the radiology team and communicate effectively with physicians regarding imaging requests and results.

Quality Assurance:& Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure patient care and quality of images.

IV Administration:& Start IVs as necessary for contrast studies.

Record Keeping:& Document procedures accurately within the Meditech EMR system and manage image storage using the DR merge/PACS system (transitioning to Phillips).

Flexible Coverage:& Be prepared to float between x-ray and CT during the graveyard shift as needed.

Qualifications:

Certifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.

Valid state license to practice radiologic technology.

Experience:

Preferred experience in trauma and stroke patient care.

Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment is advantageous.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Work Environment:

Department Overview:& The Radiology department is equipped with one scanner, handling an average of 60-80 scans/studies per day. The lead technologist will supervise the department during the day shift.

Radiologist Availability:& Radiologists are available in-house from 8 AM to 5 PM and on-call thereafter.
