Role Summary:
The Cultivation Lead at Glass Meadows is responsible for leading cultivation teams across various stages of the cannabis growth cycle, including mother/propagation, vegetative, flowering, and post-harvest processes. This position requires a deep understanding of all tasks performed by Cultivation Technician 1 and the ability to oversee operations, manage team performance, and report any issues directly to the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Lead ensures that cultivation activities are executed efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The Cultivation Lead ensures that cultivation activities are executed efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Direct and support cultivation teams in daily operations across all cultivation areas.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring all cultivation practices are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Monitor team performance and work quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies immediately.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure all cultivation tasks are performed according to schedule and standards, including cloning, transplanting, nutrient application, pest management, harvesting, and post-harvest processing.
- Coordinate with the Cultivation Manager to implement cultivation strategies, adjust workflows, and optimize processes.
- Performance Reporting:
- Regularly assess team and individual performance, providing feedback and reports to the Cultivation Manager.
- Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with management to develop solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Ensure all cultivation activities are compliant with state regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of cultivation operations, including plant tracking, nutrient application, and pest management activities.
- Problem Resolution:
- Act as the first point of contact for any operational or personnel issues within the cultivation team.
- Resolve conflicts and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain a positive work environment.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cannabis cultivation or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Extensive knowledge of plant biology, cultivation techniques, and the cannabis growth cycle.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a diverse team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

- Maintain a proactive approach to plant care, pest management, and overall cultivation excellence.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions including hot and cold temperatures, ensuring the ability to handle physical tasks in diverse climates
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Cannabis Handler’s Permit as required by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission prior to employment.
