POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for all processes and staff to cultivate and deliver a quality finished product that will be ready for wholesale distribution in a timely manner. Develop and maintain processes and protocols as well as hire qualified staff to assure that we are effectively meeting deadlines and production measures. Develops and maintains data that tracks efficiencies in all departments and create KPIs (key performance indicators) that will aid in the production of stronger, heavier yields overall.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
- Responsible for the oversight, training and selection of personnel: Cultivation Supervisor, Post Harvest Supervisor, IPM Specialist, Propagation Specialist
- Implements and maintains SOPs sitewide for best practices in AZDOHS Safety, AZDHS Compliance, as well as all grow processes. Ensures site remains operational and responsible for compliance of all operations related to the Cultivation process.
- Works with cultivation supervisor and post production supervisor to establish grow schedule and cycles for plants
- Ensure that all grow rooms are operational, maintained and cleaned on their set schedule.
- Works with Director of Operations and cultivation/post production supervisor(s) to forecast harvest dates
- Works with Director of Operations and Propagation Specialist to maintain a genetic library that is health and productive for all production strains
- Makes daily and weekly oversight decisions related to the needs of Director of Operations
- Ensure that grow rooms and dry/cure rooms are operational, maintained and cleaned on a set schedule.
- Works with cultivation supervisor and post production supervisor to forecast harvest dates, reload dates and dry cure dates – shares this information with Director of Operations.
- Works with building manager to ensure that all sitewide needs are being met and maintenance is being performed on a regular basis on all vital infrastructure
- Works with Facility Manager to ensure that all sitewide issues are reported and documented accordingly
- Works with Inventory Manager to ensure all grow logs and paperwork is being maintained properly.
- Develops KPIs (key performance indicators) across all departments.
- Offers input and direction on future batches to be grown, strategizes with Director of Operations to determine best direction.
- Coordinates with department managers at weekly meetings
- Collects and maintains all relevant data sitewide including :
- dates of planting, harvest, dry and cure – yields per sq. ft of every batch planted
- Yields per sq. ft of every batch planted
- Dry cure and trim logs that track yield and loss of each batch process
- Average temperatures, humidity, co2 and par levels at each stage of growth.
- Quality Assurance logs related to all areas of grow from clone through post production
- Testing data per batch
- Collects and maintains data sitewide for Director of Operations including:
- Dates of planting, harvest, dry/cure recorded into spreadsheet
- Dates of performed IPM
- Daily Average Temperatures, humidity, CO2 and PAR levels
- Date of pruning, and pruning techniques performed per strain and batch
- Ensures product that leaves the facility has passed all required Quality Assurance (internal and External) and is properly labeled per AZDHS standards
JOB SKILLS
- Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership qualities, including exhibiting an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Ability to maintain and follow SOPs
- Ability to work cooperatively within management structure.
- Demonstrated experience in a position requiring critical thinking, planning, problem solving, and assessment.
- Computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft Applications and communicate via Slack.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Multiple years of experience as Director of Operations or Head Cultivator
