Description of Responsibilities: Under the general direction of Custodial Supervisor, this position will have primary responsibility for serving as the functional leader to a custodial crew. They will also personally perform custodial duties of the crew.
Required Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, or year for year experience substitution. Three years of custodial and/or floor care experience, including one year performing in a supervisory capacity. Florida driver license.
Required skills:
Knowledge of and ability to use safe work practices including OSHA regulations, as they relate to the position; proper use of personal protective equipment when using cleaning chemicals and equipment; safe operation of the tools and equipment used in custodial duties. Ability to provide leadership, direction and instruction to other custodial personnel as required. Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency; lift and carry up to 40 pounds; push heavy cleaning equipment such as cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, trash cans, water buckets, etc.; knowledge to communicate any issues to immediate supervisor; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
