About the Job
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Maintains work areas in the warehouse, associated offices, and restrooms to keep them clean and orderly. Uses janitorial supplies and removes waste material. Performs special cleaning projects as assigned.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under close supervision, performs dusting, sweeping, and general cleaning of assigned areas inside and outside of the facility.
Ensures all duties are accomplished in compliance with all Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Operates equipment as necessary such as trash compactor, bailer, floor scrubber, forklift, and cherry picker.
Operates equipment safely and efficiently and according to the proper procedures.
Ensures a clean, neat and orderly work areas, cleans and maintains supplies, tools and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) AND Safety Data Sheet (SDS) standards
May perform minor maintenance such as painting, replace lower level light bulbs, ceiling tiles, etc.
Performs other warehouse functions as required by facility; Pallet sorting, disposing of RGA materials, etc.
Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
0 – 1 years of related experience.
Effective verbal communications are essential with local employees.
Learns to operate material handling equipment.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate completion of assignments and integrity of SOP’s.
Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill obligations.
Familiarity with general warehouse operations is preferred.
