Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of our property. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, handling special projects, and ensuring that all maintenance and cleanliness standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning Duties:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and furniture.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Maintenance Tasks:
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Assist with minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging sinks.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Special Projects:
  • Perform seasonal cleaning tasks, such as window washing or carpet cleaning.
  • Assist with moving furniture or equipment when necessary.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to security and confidentiality.
• Customer Service:
  • Respond to cleaning and maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with tenants, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Work is performed primarily indoors but may include some outdoor tasks.
• Physical Demands: The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
