PeopleShare is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join the Facilities Department as a Custodian in Wilmington, DE. The holder of this position will support the Director of Facilities and Plant Operations by providing responsibilities during the weekend and assigned shifts. Qualified Custodian candidates must be able to work weekends on a regular basis. The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all campus facilities.
Custodian Job Details:
- Schedule: Mon/Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun 8:00AM - 4:30PM flex on start time must work min of 37.5 hours a week
- Pay Rate:$16
- General custodial responsibilities, including but not limited to: scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash collection, etc.
- Responsible for supervising, managing, and training all Maintenance Custodians.
- Applies cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
- Adheres to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving and operating equipment.
- Maintain a written custodial and housekeeping schedule.
- Performs general custodial/preventative maintenance responsibilities, minor repairs and troubleshooting of equipment as circumstances require.
- Work as a team to complete tasks when necessary.
- Assures safety during inclement weather including shoveling, salting, providing slip protection on wet floors, etc.
- Lead weekend custodial team.
