Custom Applicator - Ag Valley Co-op

Job Description:

Operator of custom application equipment in the application of fertilizer and chemicals to customer's fields.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for operating within Ag Valley Coop Policies/Procedures and Government Regulations
• Responsible for accurate application of fertilizer and/or chemicals per blend sheet specifications
• Maintain and repair equipment according to maintenance schedule, policies and procedures
• Communicate with Managers and Sales staff to assure safe, accurate quality, efficient and timely application
• Work in any area of operation or production as assigned by the Location Manager (grain elevator, soil sampling, etc.)
• Interact with customers in a professional manner
• Supervise drivers in product transfer operations
• Work safely following safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements. Exhibit attitude and actions consistent with policies
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership in his/her work and application equipment used

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills
• Custom application experience or ability to develop custom application skills
• Have or be able to obtain a Custom Applicators Licenses
• Have or be able to obtain a class A Commercial Driver's License with TANKER endorsements
• Willing to work other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Self motivated, dependable and attentive to details
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Repair and maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of agricultural chemical and fertilizer applications
• Proficient in use of electronics found on custom application equipment
