Custom Product Designer - Lennox International

Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Location: Stone Mountain, GA (100% Onsite)

As the Custom Product Designer, you will primarily support the custom product sales team in generating design drawings to complete bid packages. Work closely with product engineers, technical sales, and clients to develop detailed 3D models, technical submittal drawings, and factory drawings from concepts or product sketches, using SolidEdge/Teamcenter CAD tools.

• Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
• Contributes design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
• Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
• This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to turn around drawings quickly with limited supervision.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of SolidEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures), and passion for creating innovative customized products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
