About the Job
Our client is looking for a high-energy, motivated, and conscientious individual to join our Customer Experience Team! In this role, the Customer Experience Specialist will collaborate with the Sales team to: (a) provide sales support and customer service, (b) manage the client's incoming sales inquiries, (c) proactively execute outreach and follow-up with customers, and (d) actively support the domestic and international sales territories.
In this role, a passion for the health and wellness industry is essential as we work to expand the footprint of our branded and unbranded ingredient portfolios. Additionally, we seek individuals who work hard, enjoy what they do, and bring a good sense of humor to our growing team.

Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide best-in-class service to our customers and distributors. Responsibilities include:
- Providing customer service and sales support, pricing, PO processing and entry, sample requests, order status updates, documentation requests, etc.
- Acting as the central point of contact for the customer across all internal departments
- Managing inbound sales inquiries:
- Providing a timely response to customer inquiries and requests via e-mail and telephone
- Utilizing and helping to maintain the CRM system by recording pricing and customer interactions as well as adding new customers and companies
- Develop strong relationships with customers over time and ‘personalize’ our client to each of them, positioning our client as a trusted long-term business partner
- Support revenue-driving outreach efforts
- Provide information on new products/innovation as well as following up on previous interest (pricing, samples, etc.)
- Work within a team environment to develop business/expand outreach in both domestic and international markets
- Negotiate sales offers (e.g., pricing, payment & shipping terms, allowances, volume deals, etc.)
- Support business operations, organizational work, meeting scheduling, event planning, travel arrangements, etc. as necessary
- Assist in disseminating product samples and marketing materials to our customers
- Occasionally support efforts at trade shows, seminars, and events to prospect potential customers and solidify relationships with current customers
- Prepare and deliver cogent reports to management as required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- Experience in a sales, sales support, customer service, or a similar role
- A results-driven orientation with high energy. We are looking for future leaders who want to continue to learn and grow
- Demonstrated customer service/selling, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. We are looking for people that know how to build customer relationships quickly and effectively
- Conscientiousness is a must. Candidates must have the ability to track and complete tasks in a timely manner – organization and attention to detail is a must
- Extroversion and strong communication skills. Ability to communicate well, both by e-mail and telephone
- Self-motivated and a bias towards being proactive
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must be able to manage several projects concurrently
- Strong computer aptitude with the ability to use spreadsheet, e-mail, and word-processing software effectively
- The ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships in the workplace
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service-related role
- Experience working with international customers/vendors/distributors/team members is strongly preferred
- Experience in ingredient or material sales in any of the following industries: Nutritional & Dietary Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Consumer Packaged Goods (specifically in Functional Food, Snacks & Beverages), Beauty, Personal Care, or Cosmetics
- Experience utilizing CRM and ERP systems
- Experience with Microsoft-based software; including MS Teams and Outlook
- Ability to write and speak other languages is a plus
Compensation: $55,000
