Your role as a Customer Outreach Manager
As a Customer Outreach Manager at Mid-Ohio Food Collective, your day-to-day responsibilities will center around identifying and conducting strategic support for public benefit enrollment and referral services for income eligible central and eastern Ohio residents. Your main focus will be on developing partnerships that provide customers with Social Determinants of Health resources. You'll strategize and implement outreach programs that enhance accessibility to our services, ensuring that our customer-centric mission is at the forefront of all initiatives. Expect to collaborate closely with team members, leading brainstorming sessions to innovate new solutions and track the efficacy of outreach efforts. You'll also be the face of our organization at community events, fostering relationships and gathering feedback to refine our approach.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Distributing materials about benefits, eligibility, and the application process.
- Using Ohio Benefits Self Service Portal and Marketplace to pre-screen and assist clients with enrollment into insurance, as well as determining eligibility for public benefits such SNAP, Medicaid, OWF.
- Identifying customers that are currently engaged in food and nutrition services provided by MOFC to assess Social Determinants of Health needs and targeting interventions based on facilitated assessments and customer's requests.
- Coordinating resource events, presentations, public speaking engagements and other initiatives targeted to promote program and services.

A bachelor's degree in related field plus at least three years of social service/human services experience or work in an outreach or social services field is preferred. Must have a High School Diploma/GED and valid Driver's License as frequent travel within our service area is required. Knowledge of and experience with public benefits and community resources preferred, specifically SNAP, Medicaid, Ohio Works First, Women Infants and Children, CSFP, and the Home Energy Assistance Program.
