At Ethos Biosciences, we are a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that offers private label manufacturing to many of the biggest life science and diagnostic companies around the world. Our core competencies are immunoassays (ELISA/Lateral Flow) as well as specialty and high volume diagnostic stains, buffers, and reagents. Our laboratories, manufacturing suites, and warehouse areas are purpose built to accommodate these specialty manufacturing and development operations. We occupy a newly built, state of the art, 126,000ft2 stand-alone building in Logan Township, NJ. Responsibilities: The customer service & sales representative is a direct liaison between Ethos Biosciences and our customers. This position is responsible for providing delightful service to our customers that is rooted in our core values of being humble, dedicated, smart, supportive, and reliable. This position has two main responsibilities, the first being taking orders and ensuring satisfactory delivery to customers. Second, liasoning between the sales function and our customers to assist the sales staff in growing the business. It is required for this position to be on-site Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
- Manage incoming and outgoing customer communication through phone, email and our CRM system
- Data entry and management of customer documentation: orders, pick tickets, invoices, etc.
- Investigate customer's problems and complaints, and coordinate responses from relevant Ethos personnel: quality, technical service, etc.
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries through phone, email, website and Hubspot (CRM)
- Oversee the onboarding of new customer accounts and maintain up-to-date customer contact information in ERP and CRM systems
- Oversee product exchanges, returns and credit process
- Obtain key customer forecasts and review backorders and future out of stock items
- Conduct online research to identify new potential customers of Ethos and work with sales to develop new customer acquisition plans.
- Work with Sales to “upsell” existing customers to grow business
- Assist Sales with administrative changes that affect customers

- A strong curiosity for understanding problems and solving them
- Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred (scientific discipline preferred)
- 1-3 years of customer service experience with a desire to expand responsibilities to inside sales
- Extremely high comfort level with ERP and CRM systems: Microsoft Great Plains and Hubspot is a plus
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
The ideal candidate has experience in managing customer communications and effectively translating customer needs to internal business partners. The role works closely with our shipping/warehouse fulfillment and sales teams to ensure we provide the highest level of service to our customers.
