Position Overview: Newberry Insurance is actively seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our esteemed Personal Lines division as a Customer Service Assistant. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the success of our organization by delivering exceptional service and support to our valued clients. Prior insurance experience and an insurance license are NOT required. All training is provided!
Work Arrangement: This is an outstanding full-time opportunity working in our office located in South Windsor, CT.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, ensuring prompt and accurate routing of communications.
- Draft and prepare correspondence and assist with client communications, including mailings and follow-ups.
- Facilitate routine policy updates for clients, managing changes that do not require a producer's license.
- Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge insurance software and web platforms, enhancing your technical skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years prior customer service and/or office experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, process policy changes, and manage policy documents accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to assess customer needs.
- Strong customer service orientation, displaying empathy, patience, and professionalism in all customer interactions.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
