Overview
General Job Description Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Applications Specialist is responsible for the successful design and build of solutions that bring efficiency to corporate operational processes. The Application Specialist will have skills in business application configuration and integration. These skills will be utilized to demonstrate value through prototypes, documentation, demonstrations and presentations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with project managers, business analysts to elicit details from business process owners.
- Successfully collaborate with the operations team to develop effective back-office solutions to automate steps, gaining efficiency for operational processes and optimizing the user experience.
- Design and configure solutions for business process owners leveraging multiple back-office tool sets (MS Excel, Smartsheet, APIs).
- Testing: Unit and support User Acceptance Test in non-production environments.
- Troubleshoot/debug issues for on-going projects and existing, production application solutions.
- Author and maintain technical design and configuration written documentation and diagrams to ongoing supportability of deployed business applications.
- Assist go-live support and routine product maintenance, release cycles.
- Successfully guide on-going production support requests and/or issues.
- Update and add new features to existing solutions as part of Continuous Improvement, aligned to priorities set by business process owners.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or ACCO management.
Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):
- Bachelors in Business Administration, Information Systems or similar education.
- Familiarity with sales and accounting data reporting, ERP platforms in corporate business setting.
- Demonstrates strong data analysis, design and application testing skills.
- Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); Agile-Scrum, Agile-Kanban, Lean Six Sigma.
- Advanced experience with Visual Basic for Applications specific to Excel required.
- Experienced with Smartsheet, including WorkApps - SaaS platform for business process automations.
- Experienced with Microsoft Power BI dashboards, reporting, data setup.
- Willing to learn and master new application platforms as required.
- Uses discretion and maintain confidential information.
- Operates in a startup fashion for emerging technologies that impact the construction industry.
- Quickly adapts to new business teams, new technologies and processes and take on a leadership role in solutioning for business process automation.
- Communicates difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Solves complex problems using critical thinking, at times independently and often to seek out help from team members to collaborate on innovative solutions.

Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, crouching, or standing for brief periods of time. Involves close vision and distance vision on a daily basis.
Hours:
This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor, with a minimum thirty-minute and maximum one-hour break for lunch, and two rest breaks. Occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.
Competitive Wages:
$37.73 to $48.19 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
