Customer Service Representative - Avita Pharmacy

The Customer Service Representative will provide general customer service, complete clerical/administrative tasks, and will assist patients picking up their medications by checking them out through the Point of Sale (POS) system. This position is based in Austin, TX (101 Koenig Lane)

Great developmental opportunity to prepare and transition into a pharmacy technician role! *Work schedule is Monday - Friday during the pharmacy hours of operation.

About the Role:

• Handles payment transactions through Point of Sale (POS) system
• Balances POS drawer daily
• Ensures all daily deposits are properly carried out in a timely manner for all POS registers
• Check and enters daily orders from wholesalers
• Maintains a neat and organized workstation
• Cleans pharmacy and equipment in accordance to company standards
• Communicates effectively with the team, including other technicians and pharmacists
• Coordinate and tracks daily local prescription deliveries
• Order and maintain other/miscellaneous pharmacy supplies
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment
• *Pharmacy Hours: Mon - Tues: 9AM - 5:30PM, Wed - Thurs: 9AM - 8:30PM, Fri: 9AM -5:30PM 

About You:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have some related work experience (retail/customer service/cashiering, etc.,) preferably in a pharmacy environment
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills 
• Knowledge of MS Suite including Word, spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software; order processing systems
• Strong typing and data entry skills
• Able to lift and carry light to medium-weight packages 
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy, fast-paced work environment
• Be pro-active in identifying and analyzing problems and provide solutions
• Reliable and responsible, with a history of good attendance
• Willing and able to fill-in at other nearby Avita pharmacies occasionally if/when needed
• Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, and have excellent phone etiquette
