Job Summary: The Customer Service Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing customer inquiries, orders, and feedback to ensure satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships. This role supports the operations team by ensuring timely and accurate communication and execution of orders, addressing customer concerns, coordinating transportation logistics, and managing the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities, Skills, and Experience:
Order Management: Process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment. Communicate with the production and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Customer Communication: Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms. Provide information on products, order status, and shipping details.
Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints or issues, working with internal departments (production, quality, operations) to provide timely solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and operation teams to coordinate customer requirements and resolve any discrepancies or delays in order fulfillment.
Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the companys product range to effectively answer questions.
Transportation Coordination: Coordinate with internal logistics and external carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries, schedule transportation to meet customer timelines, and resolve any transportation-related issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, transportation schedules, and feedback. Track and document customer issues and solutions for continuous improvement.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment. Experience in logistics or transportation coordination is a plus.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using order management software and transportation scheduling tools
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires working in an office environment with occasional warehouse exposure as needed.
Other Duties:
- Follow food safety and quality protocols.
- Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
