Hourly Rate:  Min: $18.87  Max: $28.90

Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering world class customer service at counters and on phones, answering patient inquiries, collection of payments/co-payments, and duties in support of departmental efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Correctly takes messages either by phone or over counter, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and documented following practice guidelines.  Also ensures that the messages are delivered in a timely manner.

1. Assists with patient inquiries in person or via phone. Assists Patient Access department staff as needed.

1. Provides courteous and professional customer service over the counters or phones (within 3 rings), assisting patients as needed, asking for information and payments.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM

A. Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

                        Desired:   Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent. 

B.  Experience:  Minimum of 2 years hospital experience preferred. Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.  Ability to work with                                  culturally diverse population.
