Summary
The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in supporting TMMI's sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams by handling essential office tasks. This includes managing customer annual software support contracts, providing warehouse support, handling simple order entry requests, and delivering order status updates directly to customers. Responsibilities
- Support the sales team by handling primary phone calls, routing calls, order entry, and customer order status updates.
- Primary point of contact for all customer annual software support contracts.
- Provide support in the warehouse when needed (e.g., pulling customer orders, assisting in stock rotations, assisting in cycle and annual inventory counts).
- Assist with basic office tasks as required by management (e.g., ordering office supplies, helping with customer events).
- General knowledge of distribution-based businesses with experience working in an office environment.
- One or more years of experience in office administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and similar programs.
- Strong customer service orientation, both external and internal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt effectively to change.
- Self-direction and the ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- A "go-getter" attitude with a commitment to TMMI's values and long-term goals.
- High school diploma or GED.
- College degree in a business discipline (strongly preferred).
- Previous experience in industrial distribution.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for experience with P21 and other office software.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
