Job DescriptionPay Range: $28.30 to $35.35 per hour.
Purpose of Position:
Provide Foster Farms with world-class customer service directly and by coordinating all activities related to these accounts. Customer Service Specialists are the primary link (in tandem with sales) between the key accounts and food service /customers and Foster Farms. The relationship is based on a professional approach of high integrity. The position must convey and establish a high level of confidence with our customers in order to maintain an unbreakable link between the company and customer and provide world-class customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
- SAP reporting: monitor shortages, missed deliveries, incomplete orders and order status. Building tracking and inspection of overall orders to ensure accuracy eliminating duplicate orders. Follow-up with transportation, shipping, customers, marketing, product management, and sales representatives, as necessary.
- Training and onboarding of new employees, cross training within the department
- Work with distribution centers, shippers and transloaders to execute booking and ensure timely & accurate shipping
- Suggestive selling of product to customers based on availability & previous sales

- Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies
- Executes required export documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a highly time sensitive environment.
- Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, shippers, customers, internal parties, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties
- Ensure grievances are logged within grievance data base and follow up as needed. Track open credits and debits to ensure customers are invoiced correctly.
- Ad Tracker analysis- involving sales, product management, CSR, and buyers to provide insight to on correct ordering based on forecast.
- VMI to include set up promotional products, conference calls with clients and other leadership as required.
- Assigned Account support, ensure customer orders are filled and make decisions regarding issues with orders or shipments, ability to support CSR as backfill.
- Assigned to strategic accounts, backfill for vacations, cross train on all accounts.
- Take on new accounts and set up expectations prior to passing on to a new CSR for onboarding.
- Focus on streamlining process and procedures including documentation used for training.
- Recognize, respond, and lead appropriate resolution of complex priorities and performance trends, including the development of operations improvements.
- Utilize data and analytics to influences positive outcomes for customers, forecast and track Key Account metrics.
- Additional tasks and or projects as directed.
- B.A. in Business Administration or associate degree preferred.
- Two plus years in Poultry Industry or Customer Service environment, logistics and inventory management experience
- Strong computer skills including MS Office suite, SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work under time pressures and accustomed to working in a fast paced environment
- Willing to take on department tasks as needed.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible work hours (based on customer requirements and issues)
- Occasional travel required.
