Customer Service Specialist / Retention Specialist - Primary Location

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their insurance needs, answering questions, and resolving issues. Your goal will be to ensure a positive experience for our customers while helping them navigate their insurance options.

Salary Range: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance policies, coverage options, and claims processing via phone, email, and chat.
• Provide accurate and detailed information about policy features, benefits, and terms.
• Assist customers in filing claims and ensure timely follow-up on their status.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Maintain thorough records of customer interactions and transactions in our system.
• Collaborate with underwriting, the agent, and claims teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Stay current on industry regulations and company policies to provide informed assistance.
• Conduct follow-ups with customer renewals to ensure their needs are met and satisfaction is achieved.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in insurance customer service or a similar role is preferred.
• Licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance in Michigan (or willing to obtain)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in using computers and customer service software; experience with insurance management systems is a plus.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional service.
