The opportunity
TECKpert seeks to hire a Customer Support Analyst to support our client, a state government agency for an onsite position in Deland, FL to join its Workstation Support team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, maintaining the department's Audio-Visual environments, and troubleshooting specialized software and hardware systems. This role requires strong knowledge of Microsoft products, personal computer systems, networked environments, and audio-visual equipment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide primary support for Audio-Visual systems (LCD monitors, projectors, video conferencing equipment).
- Install, configure, and maintain wireless presentation devices.
- Provide training to staff on the usage of AV equipment and assist in planning renovations for conference rooms.
- Maintain the department’s computer training facility and ensure training software is up to date.
- Assist with troubleshooting specialized applications like Enterprise Electronic Document Management System (EEDMS), Primavera, and department-specific software.
- Provide Tier 2 support, troubleshooting complex issues for computer systems and software.
- Monitor and resolve tickets through the Service Desk system.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and assist with warranty and non-warranty service calls.
- Support networked devices like printers and smartphones (iPhone/Android).
- Contribute to workstation support by replacing and configuring PCs as required.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, 9-month contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $42,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications you need
A successful Customer Support Analyst possesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- A mininmum of two (2) years in a technical, similar customer support role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including operating systems, Office Suite, and Outlook in a networked environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, hardware, and firmware related to personal computers and LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for computers and peripherals from various manufacturers.
- Proven ability to manage, organize, and track projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with iPhone and Android smartphones.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and accountable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Adaptability to changing conditions and new processes.
