Customer Support Specialist
Pay: $20.00 per hour ($21.00 per hour once complete training)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st or 2nd Shift; One Saturday a month 8a-5p
Status: Contract to permanent
Location: Nashville, TN - downtown area (parking provided)
Position requires:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
- Six months of experience assisting customers in person, via telephone, or e-mail in call center environment, with requests, services, billing, pay options and other company programs.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Must obtain a satisfactory score on applicable job-related examination(s). May be required to be bilingual.
- Subject to 24-hour call and shift work
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection of information to process customer requests and inquiries such as application for residential and commercial accounts and credit arrangements.
- Initiate orders for residential or commercial construction or services. Explain requirements, fees, and scheduling.
- Advise customers of consumer services and billing programs, financial assistance, pay options, energy saving techniques, and other company programs.
- Assist in making adjustments to accounts within policy guidelines to resolve customer complaints or problems.
- Enter, retrieve, and utilize data from computer terminals, personal computers, and other sources as necessary.
- Answer and process emergency calls.
- Communicate with employees, customers, and other entities through personal contact, telephone, writing, to provide information or to answer questions related to the area of responsibility.
- Perform work in a safe manner to protect employees, the public, and property.
