Under direct supervision of the Sales Manager, the Customer Support Specialist must be an energetic, detailed-oriented person with a positive and empathetic character. The individual needs people skills to maintain a positive customer experience while embracing the company vision and protecting company interests. Individuals must be able to stay focused on work and avoid backchat. Daily duties include handling a wide range of responsibilities- often at the same time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher required.
- Five or more years of inside sales experience in an office setting
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, Teams and Outlook
- Experience with Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP a bonus
- Solution oriented and ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced, innovative environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication
- Master keyboard skills
- Ability to learn and understand technical products
- Complies with drug and alcohol-free workplace rules
Essential Functions:
- While working independently, provide excellent customer service to customers by assisting with their questions/issues and paying particular attention to professional communication, details and relationship building
- Interact with sales people and/or customers by telephone, email and in person to receive and process orders accurately
- Invoice for orders processed
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the department
- Answers phones and takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions. Works in cooperation with other office personnel to answer phones.
- Issues quotes and review orders from customers for accuracy in specification, price as quoted and terms
- Issue order confirmation and packing lists and package tools ready for shipment
- Maintain shipping and receiving log
- Verify vendor invoices for accuracy and take corrective action as required
- Uphold company policies and follow guidelines/procedures
- All other duties as assigned

- The employee is required to sit for prolonged periods; Balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and standing
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- At times, come to work in adverse weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Performing repetitive tasks quickly. Using a computer keyboard and monitor for prolonged periods
- Mask out distractions in an open office environment
