This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employees position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with reviewing, analyzing and evaluating customer organization systems and related processes.
- Participates in developing requirements, defining scope and objectives.
- Develops test plans, executes system testing and implements system configurations and system changes to meet business needs considering organization goals, user needs and regulatory requirements.
- Works closely with customer process analysts, users, and information technology staff to facilitate technical solutions that meet user and customer needs.
- Identifies, develops, tests, and implements new or existing technological solutions, both hardware and software.
- Acts as liaison between customer organization and information technology personnel.
- Ensures that system specifications and interfaces are documented and maintained.
- Ensures that data integrity, data privacy, security and confidentiality are maintained.
- Researches and resolves system problems including billing issues.
- Works under direction with a project team to deliver system solutions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent PLUS four years or more experience with Utility Customer Systems
OR
- Bachelor's degree; no experience required
- Preferred majors include: business administration, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, management information systems, or equivalent
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Knowledge of Minnesota and Wisconsin utility customer processes and rules.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Design of customer products to ensure compatibility with impacted Customer Systems.
- Developing test and implementation plans for system changes.
- Triaging system issues and developing solutions.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data and test results.
- Ability to:
- Work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Identify problems, develop solutions and take actions to resolve.
- Adapt and change as business needs change.
- Learn relational databases and querying tools.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
