About The Position
**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Critical Care **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Preferred experience with direct patient care **License:** RN - Single State or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully; excellent time management; ability to practice nursing using evidence-based and analytical skills with strong critical thinking skills. **Job Description:** - Be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized high-quality, safe patient care. - Practice in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model and evidence-based practice. - Uphold the nursing profession according to the Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics Standards. - Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in providing clinical care. - Deliver relationship-based patient-centered care, considering population-specific characteristics. - Partner with patients and significant others through appropriate communication and care strategies. - Practice using current clinical standards and evidence-based practices. - Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care. - Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with all healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement and shared governance. - Complete professional competency assessments and required education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified workforce. - Promote and participate in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvements. - Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies. - Plan and provide care across the care continuum, collaborating with care managers and healthcare team members.
