About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day - Four 10-hour shifts, 11 AM - 9 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week **Experience:** 1 Year of Experience in Operating Room with both Scrubbing and Circulating roles **License:** RN License **Certifications:** None specified **Must-Have:** - Cardiac and Vascular Experience **Job Description:** - Provide safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. - Exhibit professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. - Utilize the concepts of patient-centered care as the foundation for all nursing actions. - Demonstrate service excellence consistently. - Assist in surgeries including cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts, Valve Replacement, Carotid Endarterectomy, Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm Repair, and others typically seen in the CVOR. - Schedule includes shifts from 11 AM to 9 PM, with one 12-hour call every other weekend. - Reside within a 25-mile radius. - Exhibit effective communication skills, both verbal and written. - Display effective interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality. - Adapt to multiple and changing priorities. - Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative cardiac patients. - Assist surgeons in operative procedures with patients. - Maintain and review patient records, including posting tests and examination results. - Administer medications in accordance with physician orders. - Ability to both circulate and scrub during procedures. **Education:** Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired. **Languages:** Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
