ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Cyber Security Engineer interested in supporting cybersecurity through development of network defense and incident response systems and tools. Join a program with great growth potential that seeks to discover, analyze, and defend against advanced attacks in real time, through implementation and configuration of emerging technologies that enable proactive cyber defense.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, configure and maintain virtual resources built using on-premises infrastructure and cloud services to support cyber defense mission
- Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Linux or Windows services and applications
- Automate common tasks through creation of shell scripts or by leveraging infrastructure automation and orchestration tools
- Operate and maintain Sponsor cyber defense network discovery systems and tools
- Ensure data automation through cross domain solutions is operating efficiently
- Manage access to cyber defense discovery tool infrastructure
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve the processes, documentation, data, and metrics captured for the IT infrastructure maintained by this group.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Information Technology , Computer Science or other relevant technical field; experience can be any combination of professional experience, internships , lab work or coursework.
- Experience with one or more of the following: SIEM systems, network security tools, log analysis tools, cybersecurity principles, incident detection, analysis, and response methodologies, operating systems, network protocols, and security technologies.
- DoD 8570 IAT-II required (can be obtained after hire)
Security Requirements:
- Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph
