About the Job
We are seeking a qualified individual for a Cyber Engineering technical role to support the Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. The successful candidate will focus on developing and testing patches to address vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and firmware.

responsibilities:
Required Skills -- Expertise in configuring and patching Linux systems using Red Hat Satellite and Capsules.
- Hands-on experience in scripting, installing, and testing patches on Linux hosts.
- Proficiency in writing and deploying Ansible playbooks.
- Knowledge of executing security hardening on Linux operating systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.
- Technical troubleshooting skills for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software applications.
- Ability to perform data analytics on system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, as well as implementing risk mitigation strategies that lead to system authorization.
Job Duties -- Fulfill a Cyber Engineering technical role for Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) in support of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program.
- Develop and test patches to address Software, Hardware, and Firmware vulnerabilities.
- Focus on vulnerability management, including the analysis and remediation of:
- Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs)
- Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs)
- Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)
- Vendor Patches
- Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations
- Perform installation and configuration of Linux systems, from the operating system to the application level.
- Document and verify all installation and configuration steps for laboratory environments.
- Develop test plans and procedures for software integration and unit testing.
- Collaborate with software developers and vendors to diagnose and identify the root causes of issues encountered during system integration.
- Submit problem reports for identified errors following Agile processes.
- Coordinate daily integration activities with other Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
- Develop and implement Cyber Releases in the National Team labs, C2BMC Test Facility, and Operations.
- Install and conduct unit testing for Cyber Products.
- Provide feedback and redline documentation to engineers and Cyber Leadership as part of the responsibilities.
- Document lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and adhere to industry standards in daily tasks.
Job Requirements -Career level requiring either an advanced degree with over 3 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience, or equivalent qualifications. Individuals at this level apply a wide range of principles and concepts to develop creative solutions for complex problems, working under general supervision. Their work is evaluated upon completion, as failure to meet objectives can lead to significant project delays and resource waste. They frequently interact with both internal and external customers, representing the organization in addressing challenging technical issues related to specific projects.
Desired Skills & Experience -- Experience with executing Agile tasks throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with scripting Windows Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard cybersecurity tools such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), NESSUS, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and implementing NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls as part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation across multiple phases of mission systems.
