About the Job
Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the team to support the Department of the Air Force Ports, Protocols, and Services office supporting the USAF Air Combat Command's Headquarters Cyberspace Capabilities Center (CCC) unit on Scott AFB in IL.
Responsibilities:Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide guidance for all IT and Cybersecurity personnel throughout the Department of the Air Force (DAF), which includes the US Air Force and US Space Force, regarding Cybersecurity PPS policy implementation on the use of IP protocols, application, systems, and data services traversing DOD information networks (DoDIN)
- Provide subject matter expertise for use of PPS by applications/software, information systems, within hosting environments to include DoD enclaves and cloud service offerings; includes PPS operating on, connecting to/from, or tunneling through the DoDIN
- Resolve requests for support and/or requests for information from DAF Cybersecurity offices and program management offices
- Interpret policy and provide guidance and counseling to all DAF Cybersecurity personnel
- Assist the Government and CIO for the Secretary of the Air Force to develop and revise PPS policies
- Review and process PPS vulnerability assessments, exceptions, waivers, and deviations; includes PPS that does not comply with DoD PPS standards
- Provide subject matter expertise at DAF and DoD level Technical Advisory Groups (TAG)s and Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
- Review and assess PPS artifacts from DoD Risk Management Framework processes
- Register PPS for enterprise information systems in the DoD PPSM central registry
- Track and sustain DAF systems of record in the DoD PPSM central registry
- Process change requests for boundary protection devices (i.e., firewalls) via Enterprise IT Service Management tools
- Process DoD DMZ Whitelist and Internet Access Point requests in accordance with 16th Air Force and Joint Force Headquarters-DoDIN (JFHQ-DoDIN) orders
- Coordinate technical standards and compliance/enforcement measures with DoD Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSSP), JFHQ-DoDIN, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), cyberspace security activities, and firewall/boundary defense technicians across DoD
- Provide training to Government personnel on cybersecurity/PPS policy implementation
- Update Collaborative Environment content, edit layout/web page modules, ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements, and manage owner/user membership and permissions
- Provide accurate technical and analytical advice, guidance, and products
- Exercise proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified materials
- Provide timely responses to time-sensitive requirements
- Complete requirements/deliverables in an accurate, timely manner in compliance with the Performance Work Statement
- Support meetings, briefings, and webinars; prepare/edit presentations, papers, and reports as required
- Maintain DoD 8570 IAM I certification
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Education: Four years’ experience in DoD/National information, systems and technology and one years’ experience practicing process improvement
Years of Experience: Associates of Science/Arts in Information System/Computer related discipline or equivalent military experience (four years)
Certifications: Current DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I certification in good standing
Technical Skills
- Proficient in conducting reviews, editing documents in accordance with AF, DoD, or Federal style guidance, and researching policies supporting the Cybersecurity community
- Familiar with NSA, CNSS, DISA, NIST, CJCS, DoD, and Air Force Cybersecurity policies
- Experience briefing senior leadership and collaborating with all levels of management and technical personnel in a professional setting
