About the Job
The Cycle Counter is a key member of the 1-800 Flowers Inventory Control and Accuracy team. In this position you must be able to withstand extremely cold freezer temperatures and handle multiple assignments in a rapidly changing fast paced environment. The Cycle Counting position is responsible for working closely with peers and leadership while monitoring inventory control systems and working with business partners resolving inventory concerns. This position is responsible for inventory control activities including the use of warehouse management systems, operating MHE, wearing proper PPE, meeting KPIs, abiding by all safety rules and regulations, following processes and procedures, and understanding expectations.
This role involves working in a freezer environment with below-freezing temperatures (-10 to -40) for extended periods, as well as operating material handling equipment (MHE) at elevated heights.

· 1-2 years’ inventory control experience required in Manufacturing, Wholesale, Distribution and Warehouse, Direct Marketing or Retail industry experience working in a cold food environment preferred.
· Experience working in an extremely cold environment for long periods at a time.
· Working knowledge Oracle and Warehouse Management Systems such as EBS or WMS preferred, but not required.
· 1-2 years’ experience required operating MHE.
· Research and resolve inventory discrepancies using warehouse management systems Oracle Cloud, Oracle RF, SAP, and EBS Financials.
· Respond to business partner requests quickly and professionally.
· Use RF device to perform inventory audits and cycle counts.
· Communicate to Supervisor issues affecting the inventory team and or all areas within the business.
· Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Help identify inventory control gaps and provide innovative ideas or recommendations for improvements.
· Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment and be available after hours if required.
· Must be able to work in all storage cooler environments including -below freezer temperatures.
· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and walk distances 200 yards or more.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· High school diploma or GED.
· 1-2 years equivalent work experience in related field.
· Good organizational skills, written skills, verbal skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.
· Must have intermediate computer skills.
