As a Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our operations by ensuring the safe and compliant transportation, storage, and handling of hazardous materials globally. You'll tackle responsibilities that range from regulatory compliance and risk management to employee training and continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will drive operational excellence across various regions and contribute to the safety of our products and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry Experience:
Preferred candidates will have a background in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Logistics, or a similar field, with 3-5 years of experience in dangerous goods management. Certifications such as IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation, OSHA, CDGP, or CHMM are highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international regulations for dangerous goods handling (DOT, IATA, etc.).
- Conduct risk assessments, formulate mitigation strategies, and implement safety protocols.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on dangerous goods regulations and safety.
- Provide operational support, including guidance on classification, packaging, and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety and compliance processes, and manage incident investigations.
- Profound knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, etc.)
- Experience in risk assessment and developing mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing regulatory documentation
