Responsibilities
+ What you'll Do:
+ Provide family housing and household goods subject matter expertise to Defense Attache Service Office (DASO) Family Housing and Household Goods Program. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and recommending solutions to complex, tethered and untethered non-traditional logistical requirements that directly affect the accomplishment of DASO strategic goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to acquiring and retaining appropriate housing including furniture and appliances that meet established safety, fire safety, health, natural hazards, comfort and efficiency standards, as well as specific operational requirements; providing direct oversight of Defense Attache Service (DAS) household goods policy; and serving as the primary liaison between the Department of Defense, Per Diem Travel and Transportation Allowance Committee, Other Defense Agency (ODA), and Other Government Agency (OGA).
+ Key Responsibilities
+ Provide safe and secure housing that meets the personal and professional requirements of DASO personnel, at a cost most advantageous to the U.S. Government.
+ Formulate, analyze, and execute plans, policies and procedures for the operation and management of government owned and government leased properties.
+ Coordinate administrative policies and office operating procedures as required for mission accomplishment.
+ Maximized finite budgetary resources. Anticipated requisition requirements and reviewed operative requisitions.
+ Coordinate with the Department of State in the management the DAS Family Housing, Family Housing Expenses, and Furniture, and Appliance programs.
+ Provide direct oversight of DAS household goods policy and related logistical matters.
+ Attend DASO Geo-Divisiori Operations Coordinator (OPSCO) and Operations Non-commission Officer (OPSNCO) meetings.
+ Coordinate and collaborate with DAS Geo-Divisions (Geo-Division Interactions, Orientation/Familiarization, Geo-Division Roundtables) and respective Facilities, Security, Chief Information Office, and Logistics Divisions as the DAS ombudsmen regarding family housing, family housing expenses, furniture, and appliance programs including household goods policy and other related logistical matters.
+ Manage and monitor transportation, travel, and household goods support resources.
+ Respond to policy inquiries for both routine and non-routine questions; demonstrates a thorough understanding of relevant regulations, guidelines, laws, and directives.
+ Provide support to Defense Attache staff and their families when requesting family housing including household goods shipment, family housing expenses, furniture, appliances, etc.
+ Attend job related meetings/cönferences/training events as sponsored and directed by DASO
+ Advise, assist, and support in providing DAS evacuations and repatriation support services.
+ Advise, assist, or participate in Joint Military Attache Services (JMAS) or Department of State (DoS) Foreign Affairs SecurtyTraining Center (FASTC) and the National Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC) briefings including training and exercises.
+ Maintain close, collaborative professional relationships-with Joint Personal Property Shipping Offices (JPPSO), U.S. Military Services Traffic Management Offices (equivalent), and the respective Department of State General Service Officer/Family Housing Managers at U.S. Embassies or U.S. Diplomatic facilities.
Qualifications
+ Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education and Experience:
+ Possess fifteen 15 years of Military or Defense Attache or Department State experience as an OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of High School Diploma, or ten (10) years of Military or Defense Attache experience or Department State experience as OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of an Associates’ college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position, or five (5) years of Military or Defense Attache experience or Department of State experience as an OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of a Bachelor’s college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position.
+ Previous service in the DAS, supporting DAS, or successful completion of JMAS (Required)
+ Previous service with or supporting the Department of State as a Community Liason Officer (Desired)
+ Attaché Training Support Program (ATSP) course
+ Performing assigned duties in a secure operating environment or controlled space.
+ Proven experience in solving challenging technical problems.
+ Certifications and accreditations:
+ Must have Valid, current U.S. Driver’s and be able to obtain an International Driver’s License
+ Must have a valid, current US Passport
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) (Desired)

+ Non-standard or non-traditional logistics tactics, policies, and procedures.
+ Tethered and untethered operations and logistic statics, policies, procedures.
+ Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), especially DoD FAR principles and methodologies.
+ DoD Supply Chain, Supply Chain Risk Management, and Acquisition Management principles and methodologies
+ Abilities
