JOB DUTIES//Under limited supervision, a Data Analyst III performs professional and scientific analysis of actual and predictable operational activities of a military, government, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or for resource allocation Advises the Chief of Maintenance (COM) and personnel on corrective and preventive maintenance issues throughout the organization.Create accurate reports utilizing the organizations maintenance management programs (Maximo). Participates in Maximo improvement efforts at both Annex and Corporate level.Create and present Power Point presentations. Have a general knowledge of systems and assets listed in the SDD (Systems Description Document).Review reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc., and generate reports.Prepare routine maintenance correspondence (weekly system status reports) to the CoM and customer.Manage and provide improvements to various maintenance programs (RSSD, SSB).Design, develop and adapt a variety of methods to analyze operational problems.Utilize modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Develop and conduct analytical studies to provide advice and evaluations of the probable effects of alternative solutions to problems.Perform professional work in operations research and analyze test runs on computers to correct or direct correction of programs and input data.Conducts studies to organize data collection to select and apply appropriate methods of analyses, to evaluate findings and draw reliable conclusions.Perform other duties as required.Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics, or equivalent formal training, or experience in a related field and 5 years of related analytical experience.In addition, a Data Analyst III must possess the following qualifications: Demonstrated skill, knowledge, and technical competency in the use of scientific and mathematical theories and principles applicable to more complex operations research.Ability to employ professional methods of scientific inquiries and analyses in the solution of difficult and complex research and/or systems analysis problems. Demonstrated ability to prepare thorough and comprehensive reports or analytical studies.Tasking is in support of a Federal Government Contract that requires U.S. citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, state-issued driver's license, or other licenses/certifications. t.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Excellent planning/organizing skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Work EnvironmentWork is typically performed in an office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal.
