Responsibilities:Responsible for assisting in the collection, analysis and reporting of health care information obtained from a variety of sources.
- Development and preparation of reports for departments for HIV clinical services
- Work with requestors to develop and understand data requirements and report specifications
- Conduct data collection, tracking and trending of all facets of HIV clinical data, including but not limited to quality assurance/quality improvement, HEDIS, PCMH, UDS, Meaningful Use, operations, etc.
- Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests
- Prepare statistical reports, narrative reports, or graphic presentations of data to provide useful information and commentary for internal purposes, reporting and external stakeholders as requested
- In collaboration with customers and IT, develop and maintain reporting tools, including dashboards, databases, scheduling and notification systems
- Continuously develop analytical and technical skill related to the health information role
- Point out system or process problems when noticed; engage the customer and the appropriate teams in problem solving
- Develop and maintain effective systems to ensure achievement of health outcome measures and coordination of
efforts:- Collect and analyze all HIV clinical data in EHR, ARIES and HIV Care Connect systems
- Provide a monthly health outcomes report for leadership
- Create a monthly audit report for HIV specialty providers on all HIV primary care measure
- Prepare scheduled reports and ensure they are successfully sent and received by funders as requested
- Manage and train staff on population management systems (i2i)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare informatics or in information technology with additional training in healthcare
informatics - Minimum three years’ experience working within a healthcare setting in a health informatics role with electronic medical record processes
- Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance; reliable transportation, to travel for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes; minimum two years’ driving experience; no more than 2 violations or a single ticket/accident value at more than 1 point on driving record
- This position requires you to be at the office, in person, in Oceanside, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in healthcare informatics
- Experience in clinical processes
- Experience with NextGen, SPSS, SQL and reporting services
Pay Range
- $23.00 - $29.00 per hour DOE
