Position Title: Data Analyst / Archivist Intern
Length: Must be able to commit 20 hours weekly, 6-months
Compensation: $35 per hour
**Note: This position is on-site in our Downtown Los Angeles HQ office***

PACE is local community nonprofit organization founded in 1976 to provide job training and placement services for the Asian Pacific Islander communities in Los Angeles. PACE has since expanded into a variety of service areas, all tailored to meet the growing and changing needs of the multi-ethnic communities in Los Angeles County. Now, in addition to job training and employment services, significant PACE programs encompass: Business Development; Early Childhood Education (Head Start); Financial Education and Asset Building; Housing and Rehabilitation Services; Weatherization and Energy-conservation programs; and Affordable Housing Development. POSITION SUMMARY
PACE is seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Data Analyst / Archivist Intern for 6-month part-time assignment to search across and work with multiple databases, documents, records and sources to extract, retrieve and analyze information and data to create PACE's time-series history, starting from 1975 to current.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Sort through various databases and systems to extract information to build a library of events
- Sort through paper contracts, agreements, documents, records
- Gather and interpret data
- Clean and automate data, i.e. agreements and contracts, etc.
- Identify what data to store, and collect, establish how data categories are related to each other.
- Communicating and presenting the data and results to stakeholders
- Using information discovered, build time-series data in chronological order
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or currently enrolled in Bachelor's program. Graduate student preferred.
- Proficient with databases and data analysis tools and languages
- Proficient with data research
- Proficient with collecting, organizing, gathering and assessing records (digital and non-digital)
- Proficient with computer skills
- Ability to analyze large databases
- Detail oriented
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass employment verification/reference check
