Data Analyst - PagerDuty

Overview:

The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the organization by interpreting complex data sets to drive business insights, decision-making, and strategy. This position is integral in providing actionable intelligence through data analysis, interpretation, and visualization, thus contributing to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and validate data from diverse sources.

Analyze large datasets to discover trends, patterns, and correlations.

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies.

Assess data quality and perform quality assurance checks.

Create comprehensive reports and present findings to key stakeholders.

Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights.

Develop and maintain analytics tools and dashboards.

Conduct advanced statistical analysis to drive decision-making.

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Identify new opportunities for process improvement.

Contribute to data-driven decision-making by providing in-depth analysis and insights.

Provide support and insights for cross-functional teams and business units.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technological advancements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.

Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with statistical software.

Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Experience in project management and business process improvement.

Familiarity with data management and data governance best practices.

Understanding of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
