Scope:
The Enterprise Business Intelligence – Customer Initiatives team at Comcast have an initiative that has recently launched that will require the assistance of two contract resources (through year-end) to help collect, access, summarize and analyze data.
The general "Wish List”:
Ideally, we would like to land on candidates with complementary skills (i.e. Strong Technical/Lighter Business Analysis skills teamed with Lighter Technical/ Stronger Business) but also an adequate balance to ensure flexibility in assigning tasks.

- Ideally but NOT required, has worked at Comcast (or another Cable Provider) previously
- Understanding of processes and data related to Customer Ops, Billing, Service, Tech Ops
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and navigate underlying data sources to conduct root cause analysis from high level data points
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to follow-up with data owners for context/explanation
- Strong Data manipulation skills aimed at staging for analysis more-so than architecting/reporting
- Tools to be employed:
- SQL (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Excel
- SAS (likely limited use, but a bonus)
- Hadoop (likely limited)
- Ability to re-model data and employ advanced analysis within above tools (i.e. SQL/Excel) to quickly address questions
- SQL Analytical Functions (Windowing/Partitioning/Binning)
- Pivot Tables/Graphing
- Willingness to "forage for data” among many data stores and operational tools
- Strong business acumen and ability to leverage those skills to focus on the most meaningful and actionable data points
