Piper Companies is looking for a Scientific Data Analyst to join a biotechnology company located in Rainsville, AL.
Responsibilities of the Scientific Data Analyst include:
- Deliver comprehensive scientific analytical services, including data entry, quality assessment, and complex analysis, to ensure data integrity across various acquisition methods (e.g., instrumentation, high-speed video).
- Maintain communication with the research team regarding study design, progress, and results, ensuring data safety and quality for both physical and digital assets.
- Operate independently as a credentialed Associate Investigator or potentially as a Principal Investigator, leveraging extensive expertise to achieve project goals with minimal oversight.
- Establish project timelines, allocate tasks, and oversee project performance, managing methodology and resources based on general guidance and objectives.
- Provide analytic and programmatic support for the Injury Biomechanics RDT&E program, focusing on PMHS and human research volunteers, as well as material testing and data analysis.
- Prepare and present documentation, including reports, presentations, and manuscripts, on research findings for diverse audiences.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to scientific and safety standards during research activities.
- Offer timely and high-quality analytic services in a collaborative environment, meeting the needs of various stakeholders throughout the research cycle.
- Assist in crafting research proposals, work plans, and data collection methodologies.
- Manage and analyze data from safety, engineering, and medical databases, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Formulate analysis plans for RFIs and RDT&E queries, conducting extensive analyses on medical injury and safety data using specialized software.
- Promote best practices in data management and document storage, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Apply statistical and numerical methods in injury analysis and programming, documenting processes and findings thoroughly.
Qualifications for the Scientific Data Analyst include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, biomedical, mechanical, biomechanics, or physics) with a minimum of three years in biomedical engineering or clinical settings required; six years preferred for Principal Investigator eligibility.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and standards in relevant STEM fields, supported by educational background and professional publications.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS) and project management software, with experience in industry best practices.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
Compensation for Scientific Data Analyst includes:
- Rate Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Per Year
