The client provides information technology (IT) services, including business outsourcing, infrastructure technology, and application services. The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support. The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.
Rate Range: $35-$40/Hr
Job Description:
Server Room Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of a 4-rack server room. Could expand out.
- Ensure optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) for server performance.
- Monitor server health and performance, addressing any hardware or software issues promptly.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on all servers.
- Perform regular system updates and security patches.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or other automation tools.
- Set up and maintain infrastructure for AI model training, including GPU servers.
- Optimize hardware and software configurations for efficient AI training.
- Monitor and manage resource allocation to ensure efficient use of computational resources.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI researchers to support their computational needs.
- Configure and manage network switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ensure network security and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement network monitoring tools to maintain high availability and performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., data security, privacy).
