We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Data Center Project Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in our organization, providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in managing the design, construction, commissioning, and site migration of our data centers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. This position will require a high level of collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure our data centers are built to the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of data center projects, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure all aspects of the data center construction and commissioning are completed to our specifications.
- Oversee site migration activities, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to our operations.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including the identification, analysis, and response to potential risks.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolution of issues.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, budget forecasts, and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a data center environment.
- Proven experience in managing data center construction, commissioning, and site migration projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, security, and networking systems.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project-related issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed to oversee project execution.
