A high school diploma or better is mandatory. Typing skills of at least 30 words per minute and experience on a 10 key adding machine are required. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions are necessary. Terminal aptitude a must.
MENTAL: Ability to follow instructions as well as work independently.
PHYSICAL: Lifting of books (around 40lbs., at times) as well as opening boxes. Responsible for entering customer returns and investigating customer service complaints on the computer system.
Education: Candidates must demonstrate the following competencies: manage interpersonal relationships and interact/communicate with clarity, tact and courtesy with staff, faculty, and clients; communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing; identify priorities; recognize and resolve or refer problems; work effectively with supervision and as part of a team; use or learn a range of position-related software applications; strong typing skills and experience on a 10 key adding machine required; excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions required; ability to enter data both quickly and accurately on an on-line database system required; ability to learn quickly and retain what has been learned is of paramount importance due to the variety of tasks that must be performed on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The basic responsibilities of this position are to enter customer returns and investigate complaints on the computer. The person must be capable of entering data both quickly and accurately on an on-line data base system. Accuracy is mandatory since maintaining the integrity of the database depends on the accuracy of the data, which is input. The ability to follow verbal and written instructions as well as detailed written procedures is required. The ability to learn quickly and retain what has been learned is of utmost importance due to the variety of tasks that must be performed on a daily basis. Specific duties include the following: 94% - Entering customer returns as received in the warehouse daily. 2% -Investigating customer service complaints and following detailed procedures to correct the problems. 2% - Interface with various departments as required to effectively complete assigned tasks. 2% - Various other tasks as required.
